Training area and the victim Corroded pressure cylinder/valve Connection hole to the pressure cylinder/valve and part of finger Extinguisher bottom away from site Signs of corrosion • KEY Learning’s: • Fire extinguishers must be regularly inspected to ensure that they will work properly if needed, minimizing injury and property damage from fire. • Fire extinguishers with dents, leaks, rust, chemical deposits or other signs of abuse/wear should be immediately replaced. • Fire extinguishers must be pressure tested every 5 years to ensure the cylinder is safe to use.
