Start your week with an exciting math lesson! Ensure you have submitted your Math Reflection and notebook check. Begin with a Spiral Review on page 77, answering problems 48-52. Work in groups to explore similar figures through a unique Tic-Tac-Toe game format. Calculate new points for characters Mug, Zug, Lug, Bug, and Glug as you plot them on a graph, applying the rules of transformation. Don't forget to prepare your Notebook Assignment Sheet and complete your homework on page 28. Let’s turn learning into an adventure!

Happy Monday! Did you turn in your notebook check? Did you turn in your Math Reflection? Begin your warm up: Spiral Review p.77 (48-52) DEAR when you finish your warm up!
Warm-Up Answers SR p.77 (48-52) • 48) x = 41 • 49) w = 2 • 50) k =3 • 51) C 23 • 52) B y = 18
Set up our NEW N.A.S. (Notebook Assignment Sheet) • Runners- go get them! • Make sure your notebook cover sheet looks like this: • #. Date Brief Description • 1. 10-3 S&S Problem 2.1 day 1/ ACE (1 a-e) You Need: Calculator and Ruler 2.1 Lab sheet 2.1 Grid Sheet BIG IDEA: Drawing and Identifying Similar Figures
Launch! • How many of you know how to play tic-tac-toe? • How many do you need in a row to win? • Today’s T-T-T game is a little different…you need 4 to win! • Groups 1-4 will play a test game against groups 5-8. • Let’s play on the board!
Questions to think about… • The points for Zug will be found from Mug’s points. The rule is (2x, 2y). What do you think this rule tells us to do to a Mug point to get a Zug point? • MULTIPLY EACH COORDINATE BY 2
Question… • What do the other rules tell you to do for Lug, Bug, and Glug? • Lug: multiply the x coordinate by 3 and keep Mug’s y-coordinate the same • Bug: multiply each coordinate by 3 • Glug: keep x the same and multiply the y- coordinate by 3.
Get calculating and plotting! • Go through your table and compute the new value of the x and y for each point first. • Remember that you are always starting with Mug’s x and y coordinates. • Then, locate the points and connect them in sets as you did for Mug!
Lug …and how did you do on your graphs of the characters? Bug Zug Glug
Lug and Glug are IMPOSTERS! All have: rectangular mouths and legs triangular noses dots for eyes bodies shaped like a trapezoid All have different: size perimeters areas
