Main objectives • Increase awareness of the need to improve implementation of ICAO SARPS • Introduce Quality Management • Information about international activities • Forum for open discussion and exchange of ideas • Establish sub-regional cooperation ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

  8. Amendment 32 to Annex 15 • Adopted by Council on 28 February 2003 • Effective date 14 July 2003 • Implementation date 27 November 2003 ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

Amendment 32 to Annex 15 • Scope of the amendment presented in State letter AN 2/2-03/30, dated 28 March 2003 • States to notify any disapproval by 14 July 2003 • States to notify any difference and compliance before 27 October 2003 • Green cover Amendment 32 to Annex 15, was sent under separate cover on 28 March 2003 ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

  10. Amendment 33 to Annex 15 • The ANC decided not to include NOTAM numbering into Amendment 32, instead authorized additional consultation with States on the subject • Consequently, State letter AN 2/2-03/25, dated 28 March 2003 has been sent with due date for replies 15 July 2003 ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

  11. AMENDMENT 33 TO ANNEX 15 Amendment 33 will include subjects • NOTAM numbering • GNSS NOTAM • Electronic terrain data • Common vertical datum for civil aviation ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

NEW MANUALS • AIS Manual (Doc 8126) has been updated to include Amendments 29 to 32 to Annex 15 • The manual restructured to better align it with the structure of Annex 15. • Training Manual for AIS personnel, second edition(Doc 7192) • New Quality Management System Manual ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003

  14. NEW MANUALS (cont) • An overview of the structure of the manuals is provided separately • Expected publication (in English): AIS Manual; in June 2003. Training and Quality Manuals; end of 2003. Regional Aspects for the Eastern part of the EUR Region • AIS/MAP services still not fully implemented in several CIS States • ICAO Special implementation Project (SIP) 1996-97 in all CIS States except RF • ICAO Group GATE/AIS to support implementation • Transfer of know-how from Eurocontrol activities in the ECAC area • Special needs for training ICAO AIS/MAP Seminar in Kiev 27-29 May 2003
