  1. Exhibition Reflection I feel that my Exhibition this term was a lot better than my last. I was able to do a lot more things I wanted to do and got into more depth with the topics I talked about. I was able to engage my audience even more with the activity which I would say was a better improvement than last exhibition. In my Exhibition I felt that I did really well with my volume and how I talked. I was able to talk a lot more in depth and showed my progress in my topics which I would say I improved a lot in. Another strength I would say is how I was able to interact more with my audience and show what I learned in a more interactive way. Rather than me just talking in front of my audience for 15 minutes about dirt. Some things I wasn't prepared for was how...show more content... I will be able to do this by finishing my exhibition early so I have time to practice and practice. I also want to procrastinate less when I'm making my exhibition, so my plan to achieve this is by making a day planner. Where it'll have a specific time and what I have to achieve by then, which will actually help me be more organized with myself. Another challenge I'd like to do is to continue to try and make more activities so I'm able to present a more engaging exhibition just like this one. Just so my exhibition doesn't end up being boring but even more engaging for my audience, just so they have something to do rather than me just talking. I'd say that from my Term 1 Exhibition to now, I was able to improve a lot more in those areas I said in my term 1 reflection. I was able to manage well better now compared to both my first and second exhibitions, this exhibition I was able to finish a week before. Which has given me time to rehearse what I wanted to say and even add on new things. I was also able to engage my audience a lot due to the activity with the soil. Which I'm pretty sure my audience actually enjoyed quite a lot. According to my first exhibition, I wanted to improve more on how I talked and I think I got a lot better in that too as well. As I think I'm able to talk more clearer now than when I first started. Some challenges I'd say that I'm still facing is just the procrastination part. Even though I have been able to improve a lot more on ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  2. The 1893 World’s Fair Essay The 1893 World's Fair A World's Fair is an "[I]nternational exposition that features exhibits dealing with commerce, industry, and science." (World Book Encyclopedia 412) Entertainment is also present along with cultural activities. In 1893, the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, although inaugurated a year late, commemorated the discovery of America. I feel that the Exposition displayed some of the more beautiful architecture of its time; its immense buildings and sculptures drew heavily from Greek and other classical styles, and it could possible be because of the sweeping popularity in Beaux Arts architecture. The Peristyle, one of the buildings that was constructed for the Fair, was designed by Charles B. Atwood. It...show more content... Post, in the Corinthian style. (Burg 132) "Carl Conduit has judged that "The manufactures Building revealed the most extensive and elaborate system of hinged–arched framing ever undertaken in the United States."" (Burg 97) The arches that are involved were not seen until the Roman's dominated in the field of architecture. Another building that was constructed for the fair was the Agricultural Building. "In keeping with the custom of its famous designers, the building was in classical style with the noteworthy feature of a sixty–four foot wide entrance flanked by mammoth Corinthian columns fifty feet high and five in diameter." (Burg 128) In the middle of the building there was a large dome; the Romans were the first to create and use domes. Both Greek and Roman ideas were incorporated into this building. (Charles B. Atwood had designed the Palace of the Arts in a Greek–Ionic style, with the addition of the dome. (Burg 147) Van Rensselaer stated, "It is the finest thing on the Fairgrounds, and the finest building of so classical a sort which the modern world has constructed. It is not just like any building which classical nations themselves constructed; it is much larger and more varied in mass, and its dome is a distinct innovation. But we feel it just such a building as the Greeks might have built had they known about domes and had they wanted ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  3. Art Review Essay Art Review If you have some free time and have always wanted to visit an art gallery, a start is the Art Sacré exposition. Just do not expect high quality art. Running from October twenty–third to December eight–teenth at Les Salles de Gesù, the exposition features four artists depicting spirituality and inner self. The first artist in the exposition is Hannah Alpha. Born in Egypt, she's a McGill alumni who uses the minimalism style of painting, which is the art of using simplistic design to create maximum impact. The paintings grab your attention due to their abstractness. However they fail to portray the artist's meaning. Her collection, called "La danse cosmique" (The cosmic dance), is her search to "attain a state of supreme...show more content... Perhaps the only way to understand what Peneault was trying to portray is to ask her personally. In the next room I came across a very unique and interesting collection of pieces. If you especially like or have any interest in calligraphy, then you are going to love what Hongmo Ren has done. Calling it REN–script, Ren has created what he calls a calligraphy and linguistic "experimentale." Consisting of seven English and six French pieces, he has combined the art and beauty of calligraphy with writing of equal stature. In ten of his pieces he elaborates on the beauty of nature during various seasons and includes a complete verse from the Book of Genesis. The rest of the pieces are large single word depictions again in calligraphy with intricate detail. REN–script is definitely the turning point of this art exposition. The use of words by the artist in the poems is lyrical and actually puts you in the place being described. Some of his settings include the sun shining on Mount Royal and the moon reflecting of the St. Laurent River. At times the writing is a bit hard to understand yet the more one stares at it the clearer it becomes. The amount of work the artist put into his pieces is evident when you examine the detail using ink on rice paper. Inner self is the main theme of the next and final artist in this exhibition. Using paper molds ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

With the theme "Ready, Jet–set, Go!", the event presents an exceptional atmosphere that stimulates the desire to travel among visitors – either by air, water, rail or road, for business or for recreation, within or outside the Philippines. Considered as the country's biggest travel event, this year's expo was participated by 230 travel and tourism companies which offered anywhere between 30 and 70 percent discounts on their products and services. 5. Essay about Exposition of Mythology Exposition of Mythology Since the beginning of time people have found great interest in the study of mythology and its origin. For the past five weeks I have been studying this deep and complex issue and have come to the conclusion that without myths history would not be the same. In this paper I will discuss what myths are and how scholars have broken them down. Scholars such as Joseph Campbell go into great detail to explain mythology and how it effects the human life. First you must determine what a myth is? Webster's New Riverside Dictionary defines a myth as, "A traditional story originating in a preliterate society, dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serve as primordial types in a primitive view of the...show more content... The Hall of Running Bulls is just one example were the artist of the painting is trying to capture the animals' spirit. Campbell believed that each chamber of the cave was designed and created for different ceremonies and rituals. One example that Campbell talks about is a painting of a strange beast with horns on the beast head. Campbell explains that, "No animal in the world looks like that, and yet these artists painted animals in a way that no one's been able to paint them since" (Campbell 17). Scholars have found examples of this beast in Australia being portrayed by tribe elders as a ritual dance. Even though the beast cannot be explained it is believed that it had magical charm and would bring the hunters good luck. Mythology can be broken down into three categories: pure myth, heroic saga, and folklore. Pure myth explains how the heavens were created and how man should behave toward the gods and goddesses. Morford explains that, "Most Greek and Roman stories reflect this universal preoccupation with creation, the nature of god and humankind, the afterlife, and other spiritual concerns" (pg. 03). In almost every myth the gods are showing mankind how not to act by their tireless efforts in love, war, and chaos. To the Greek people gods were seen as the creators of heaven and earth with each god having a certain supernatural power. The gods not only created mankind but they also set laws and standards for the people of Greece to obey. The ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
