Afghanistan Resource Mobilization Factsheet FAO Approvals in last 5 years (Both HQ and DO Approvals) ODA Trend in last ten years USD million While the numbers vary a lot from year to year, the ODA to FAO’s mandate is comparatively enormous and implies a lot of scope for FAO resource mobilization activities New approvals have dipped significantly in the last two years. Top 10 ODA Partners in FAO Related Areas Share of ODA in FAO’s mandate being allocated to FAO (In 2009-2011) 3.8% The United States is by some margin the largest resource partner in areas related to FAO’s mandate. This is low compared to many other countries, implying there is potential for FAO to increase its resource mobilization.

Spending by Strategic Objective in last biennium Delivery according to funding source Strategic Objective F on Sustainable Management of Resources and the Environment accounted for the vast majority of funds – this would appear to be a priority in the CPF, as are SOs A and H – it is encouraging to see that delivery has matched country priorities UTFs (pink) account for an encouragingly large share of approvals, although UNJP modalities (purple) are relatively low.
