  2. GEMEnA Group on Expanded Measures of Enrollment and Attainment (GEMEnA) Federal interagency working group (ED, DOL, NSF, Council of Economic Advisors, DOC) Led by National Center for Educational Statistics Goal is build consensus for adoption of relevant measures in key federal data collection
  3. Census Bureau Publication --Measuring Alternative Educational Credentials: 2012 Based on Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) Focus is who gets alternative credentials and impact on outcomes (employment and income)
  4. Center for Education and the Workforce Based at Georgetown Director is Tony Carnevale Publication: Certificates: Gateway to Gainful Employment and College Degrees (June 2012) Analysis of multiple sources Focuses only on certificates from educational institutions ( public and for profit)
