Some conclusions • Education unit level innovation activity across subsystems is measurable • The Hungarian education system demonstrates a relatively high level of innovation activity at education unit level • Innovation activity can and should be analysed both as a dependent and an independent variable • Composite innovation indicators can be used to explore the relationship of innovation activity with various factors • There is a complex relationship between innovation and performance moderated by other factors
