  6. The Research Process(What To Look For) • Person’s name • Date of birth and death • Birthplace • Family information • Type of clothing worn during their time in history (pictures to get info) • Education of individual

  7. What to Look For Continued • Types of jobs the individual had • People in individual’s life who helped them and how they helped • What was the person best known for? • How did he or she help others? • Important historical events during person’s life

  8. What To Look For Continued • This person is important in history because… • How this person impacted the world or other people • Any other interesting information about the person’s accomplishments • Any additional interesting information

  10. Creating Your Tri-Fold Presentation • Your name and the person’s name • Birth and death dates • Photographs and pictures • What he or she is best known for and how he or she helped society • Family, job, and educational background • Additional Information or items that relate to your figure

  12. What is a Monologue? • Write your speech on index cards • You will be speaking as if you are the person • Memorize your monologue by reading it and practicing often

Curriculum Night • May 25th presentation • Dressing like your historical figure (if possible) ~ clothes, hats, wigs ~ We encourage you to use what you have at home for your costumes • Monologue for presentation ~ On index cards prepare your speech for your presentation about your historical figure and memorize it • 5 Questions for presentation ~ Each question on a separate index card with the answer on opposite side of the card ~ Questions should be interesting/different facts that were not shared during the monologue
