  5. Your TRADITIONAL senses Smell Why Not touch? Taste SPECIAL SENSES Sight Hearing

  6. Why not touch? TOUCH IS A MIXTURE OF GENERAL SENSES THAT INCORPORATE TEMPERATURE, PRESSURE, AND PAIN RECEPTORS IN THE SKIN AND PROPRIOCEPTORS OF MUSCLES AND JOINTS.

  7. What About that 5th Sense? The 5th sense is EQUILIBRIUM which is located in the ear with your sense of hearing.

  8. Intro to Senses Word Search Within your word search are 30 terms from Chapter 8. Find the terms and on the back define each term in your OWN words. (HINT: They may be the highlighted or italicized words!)

  9. Homework Create a rhyming SENSE poem Your poem will address one sense per line. TOTAL 6 LINES INCLUDE: sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch, and equilibrium
