2. - Last week –We came across some words, celebrations or traditions carried out by Christians in other denominations being mentioned. Some of us may not know what they are or mean. Let us explore some of them.

Matthew 28:19-20a Jesus commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.”

11. WHAT IS ……….? Discuss. Convert one who has become a Christian and may or may not continue to grow in Christ. Disciple from Greek word meaning learner or student. One who has chosen to follow the teachings and the practices of Jesus. Apostle from Greek word meaning messenger or ambassador. One sent out on a Mission specifically to start churches in other cultures.
