  1. Flexible Platform for Vendor Neutral Power Management

  2. Vendor Neutral Power Management Opengear console servers are 100% Compatible with over one hundred UPS and PDU vendors

  3. Vendor Neutral Power Management We provide graphing, alerting, monitoring both in band and out of band from one simple interface.

  4. Can Opengear Manage all my UPS and PDU’s? Yes

  5. What about SNMP or Serial connected Units? Yes

  6. What about Metered and Switched Cabinet power ? Yes, and we graph metered outlets

  7. What about IPMI? Yes, IPMI too

  8. How it works….. Our platform is embedded with two key open source components. Network UPS Tools Provides reliable monitoring of UPS and PDU hardware and ensures safe shutdowns of the systems which are connected. PowerMan Is a tool for manipulating remote power control (RPC) devices from a central location This unique and flexible solution manages PDU, UPS and IPMI devices from one secure platform without proprietary limitations.

  29. Power Management Traditional console servers provide in band and out of band access to IT equipment such as servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VOIP. Opengear console servers have evolved far beyond traditional to provide a best of breed power management solution with leading edge technology in infrastructure management. Systems administrators now have one window to manage all their IT, power and environmental infrastructure no matter where it is located or how it is connected. Opengear console servers control the widest selection PDU and UPS devices and provide power metering at the managed device level with outlet control. No other vendor logs and alarms on temp readings from such a spectrum of sources in the data center. We do this all in band or out of band while retaining affordability.
