  2. Managing Director & Founder of Granite Group Services I arrived back into the UK from Australia, where I had been working on the tools in underground mining. Dazzled by the lack of sun rays, pouring rain and the rush of traffic, I knew I had made the right choice. With the want and motivation (and countless cups of coffee), to make a difference to the quarrying and mining industry. Within days I was back on the tools working for a well-known Earthmoving Company in the South of England. From there, I rested the tools to take on a sales role. Lessons were learnt and many a mistake was made (quickly rectified). However, the suit and tie look wasn't one I was jumping up and down about. I soon donned the Hi Vis and went back out to the field, taking on a hands on approach liked by many. For many years, up and down the country, providing wearing parts for fixed and mobile plant machinery. Thriving on challenges that competitors turned their backs to. I knew then, that there was a need for a Wear Parts Company that you could truly rely on. No matter the circumstance. No matter the time of day. You need your parts and a machine down is no good to anyone.
