They’ll also assess you to see if physiotherapy is an option for you GP completes SCI referral Self management resources Patient calls NHS 24 MATs 0845number Triage questions asked. STarT tool informs decision whether onward referral to physiotherapy on waiting list Improved, no further action Two weeks, if not improved patient phones NHS24 MATs again Physiotherapy assessment required. NHS 24 complete SCI referral on waiting list, with self management resources while wait Patient offered musculoskeletal physio appointment We are investigating the possibility of inputting the self-management resources including phone number, website, digital TV channel, and MSK app on a prescription print-out GP10

NHS Lanarkshire pilot of NHS 24 MATs phone line: Jan-Apr 0.02% (2 of 8253) to A&E (follow-up revealed that were appropriate e.g. suspected DVT) 0.3% (27 of 8253) to contact GP May to July 0 to A&E 0.7% (31 of 4314) advised to contact GP
