Stacks Unit Student Workers • Stacks Students • Shelving, shifting collections, shelf-reading, special projects • Work Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5:30 pm • Building Proctors • Hired from the Stacks Student pool • Worked at least one semester (ideally 2) as a Stacks student • Received extra pay • Work without full-time staff • Hours of work vary as the Library hours change

Serious Incidents Thefts of 2007-2008 Scorch marks on wooden study carrel Student reporting a mint stuck in throat but still could breather, later mint was dislodged and call to DPS canceled “Prank” chat reference indicating suicide at a particular day and time Half consumed bottle of vodka from homeless person locked fin or the night Elevator stopping and opening not level with floor -2 feet off
