  2. Scope of Work • Process Starts April 30, 2012 • Process will last 63 days (9 weeks) • Delivery of Assessment – Week of June 25, 2012 • Actual Assessment will take 3-4 weeks • Actual Assessment will be conducted by two teams • Assessment will involve an estimated 4,000,000 square feet

  3. Facility Condition Assessment • Three Experts on Site • Architectural, Site / Civil and Structural Building Systems • Electrical Systems • Mechanical and Plumbing Systems • Collection includes • Current deficiencies • Life cycle data to project facilities needs over time

  4. Value of a 3rd Party Building Assessment • Establishment of industry standard metrics for facility assessment • Consistency of the metrics application • Process for the development of 10-year district capital planning strategy • Deliberate capital planning strategy to reduce maintenance costs

  5. Final Deliverables • Current deficiency costs for each building and campus • 10-year life cycle capital renewal needs • Current Facility Index (FCI) • Can be input into a matrix and compared to improvement cost • Matrix indicator for objective capital planning decisions • Reports will be maintained in an offsite database for retrieval
