  2. Agenda Why repeat Big Ideas and Essential questions? As a result of your survey response many of you indicated not having enough time to finish big Ideas and get to Essential Questions. • 7:30 – 7:45 Coffee • 7:45 – 9:15 Curriculum Mapping • 9:15 – 9:30 Break • 9:30 – 11:00 IEP Collaboration

Professional Protocol • Be on time and participate for the entire session. • Turn off all electronic devices. • Be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn • Focus your attention and conversation on the content during both the presentation and work time. • Be respectful of your presenter and colleagues when they are speaking.

  4. Big Idea for Today What’s worth knowing, is worth time, effort, and reflection for all.

  5. Essential Questions • How does linking knowledge and skills to a greater purpose impact deep understanding of concepts? • What do all students need to know and be able to do? • How do we teach so that all students will learn? • How do members of a professional organization mutually support one another to achieve a common goal of success for all students using Rubicon Atlas as a resource for all learners?

  6. Why Stress Mapping? If you do these three things you will achieve improvement in ONE year. • Curriculum that makes sense for the kids, strategies are consistent and assessment is consistent and curriculum aligned. (Instructional Coherence) • We all understand it in the same way (shared vision) 3.   7. Focus for today • Establish an understanding of using curriculum mapping to support a student’s IEP. • Why are big ideas and essential questions important for all students. • Collaboration on writing of IEPs to meet state guidelines.
