  2. June 6, 1944 My darling Maisie: Well, dearest, the above date will certainly go down in history. Some day our children will come to us, when we are sitting together in the setting sun and they will say. "One of my history questions in tonight's homework is, ‘What took place on June 6, 1944?’" Boy, will we ever be able to tell them, eh, kid?- Allan Notman

  4. Les Pays Alliés • Les Canadiens – le plage Juno • Les Britanniques – les plages Sword, et Gold • Les Américains – les plages Omaha, et Utah • Les français libres ont aussi participé

  5. Comment Évité un Autre Dieppe • Dieppe était supposé d’être un pratique pour le Jour J, mais c’était un désastre • Amélioré leur communication et habilité • Ne place pas les chars d’assaut ou ils ne pouvaient pas avancer

  6. Les Statistiques • 160,000 soldats alliés (20,000 de ces soldats étaient Canadiens ) • 195,000 personnelles du marin (10,000 Canadiens) • 5000 bateaux • 50,000 véhicules • 11,000 avions
