SoroptimistInternational of Greater Sacramento Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women.  The first Soroptimist club was formed in 1921 by a group of 80 women in Oakland, Alameda County, California, USA.  The name Soroptimist is a coined name meaning “best for women.”
