  4. Or when a can is left outside….. Iron Rust

  5. Chemical changes are IRREVERSIBLE You cant UN-COOK AN EGG! The change goes ONE WAY ONLY

  6. In a PHYSICAL CHANGES no new substance is formed No new substance is formed Changes of state

  7. PHYSICAL CHANGES: Dissolving When salt is added to water The salt particles go into gaps between water molecules When the water evapourates the salt reappears

  8. More PHYSICAL CHANGES ……. Passing a ball Formation of clouds Squeezing a balloon No new substance is formed

  9. Physical changes are REVERSIBLE The change can go two ways Melting Ice Water Freezing Ice Water

  10. PHYSICAL CHANGES are reversible The balloon returns To its original shape The cloud evaporates
