  3. #1-Get Published! - Newsletter Two e-issues per year Opportunities for: • Writers! Everything from personal reflections and research summaries to book reviews and interviews. • Content and Layout Editors! Check grammar, flow and design

  4. #2-Stay connected! Social events and Facebook page We want: • More members to “Like” us on Facebook!!! • Pictures of YOU at our social events!

  5. #3-Find a job! You can find out about job opportunities by: • Email updates from members • Website links to TESOL international • Volunteer opportunities to help get started and add to your resume!

  6. #4-Be involved! You could: • Volunteer to help with conferences • Volunteer for outreach campaigns • Volunteer for communications • Volunteer for special events (State and local Conferences, World Refugee day, etc.) …and many other opportunities!

  13. Historical information • Founded in 1977 by Dr. Carolyn Kessler together with Dr. Curtis Hayes along with support from Mr. Jim Alatis • UTSA was still in early construction at the time! Dr. Kessler’s goals: • To raise the level of the TESOL profession not just a “warm body” speaking English • To advocate for our field • To support the needs of the ESL learner

  14. Membership dues $20 one year membership $35 two year membership • Whether you are already a member or considering joining our organization, we are here to support your efforts in the field of English language learning.
