Empowering AVID Students: Individual Determination for College Success

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) prepares students with academic potential (GPA 2.0-3.5) for college success. With an emphasis on rigorous curriculum, students engage in academic responsibilities, participate in school activities, and enroll in four-year colleges. 98% of AVID students plan to pursue higher education. The inaugural class at GHS (2009-2010) consists of 9th graders enrolled in a six-block elective course. Thanks to generous support from The Greenwich Alliance for Education, AVID fosters a future of educated and responsible leaders.
