Potential topics for PDSA • Hand expression and training around that • Spoon/syringe/cup supplementation • Eliminating/limiting unnecessary supplementation, esp on nights. • Paced formula feeding • Paying for formula • Creating a donor milk policy • Issues around consent • (e.g., human milk or donor milk as first line; formula could require an opt-out, at least in the NICU).

  3. BFHI Step 6 and Step 9 • Step 6: • Practice exclusive breastfeedingd or drink other than breast-milk, unless medically indicated

  4.
