This project delves into the integration of user-written codes for state estimation and automatic differentiation within biogeochemical models. Focusing on the ocean-atmosphere-sea-ice coupling, we utilize specialized packages including DIC, GCHEM, and KPP to enhance computational efficiency. We assess climate variables through various methods including offline matrix calculations and bulk forcing. Additionally, this work seeks to streamline general-purpose numerical infrastructure to bolster simulations in diverse oceanic scenarios while ensuring rigorous debugging and monitoring protocols are established.
