  2. Expedients • Defined: • Something profitable, helpful or advantageous for practical reasons; something appropriate, advisable or useful in a situation that requires action.

  3. Expedients In order for something to be expedient…it must first be LAWFUL! Not all things are expedient: (Matthew 7:21) "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (NKJV)

  8. Remember! Expedients In order for something to be expedient…IT CANNOT BE SPECIFIED in the word of God. Therefore: Baptizing Infants is not an expedient because it is not lawful – they are not candidates (because they cannot believe). Sprinlking or pouring for baptism is not expedient because it is not lawful – it does not meet the definition of biblical baptism.
