Games Technical Committee • TC Members • Number in total = 49 • Geographical distribution : North America = 12, South America = 1, Europe = 20, Africa = 0, Asia = 9, Oceania = 7 • Number of new members = 3(4 members retired) • Number of male/female members : 39/10 • A slight improvement on 2013 • We continue to strive to support more female members • E.g. CIG 2013 had two out of three female keynotes, and two out of five tutorials, and two women on the organising committee. CIG 2014 has two women on the organising committee and a female keynote speaker.

  2. Games Technical Committee • Task Forces • Low activity TF’s were disbanded. The remaining 3 are strong and continue to be active, some with new or additional leaders. New TF’s will be sought. • TF in total = 3 • Real Time Strategy Games(Mike Preuss) • StarCraft Competition • Player Modelling (Noor Shaker) • Platformer AI Competition • Procedural Content Generation (Julian Togelius and Gillian Smith) • Workshop on PCG • PCG textbook in preparation • TF new = 0, TF terminated = 10

Games Technical Committee • Activities Organized at WCCI2014 • Special sessions organized • Computational Intelligence and Games (Kyung-Joong Kim, Sung-Bae Cho) • Special Session on CIS Competitions includes Ghost Challenge and Video Game Competition@ CIG 2014 • Tutorials organized • Computational Intelligence and Games (Clare Bates Congdon, Simon Lucas) • Introduction to Evolutionary Game Theory (Garry Greenwood) • Competitions organized • A competition was proposed but not accepted
