MTAC 118 Software Certification for PostalOne! Issue Statement Define an approach for mailers to validate their electronic mailing information submissions via Web Services and Mail.dat.
Continuing Objective • Looking at ways to incorporate and take advantage of the robust data that will be available via Intelligent Mail, for the purpose of presort validation
Accomplishments • In-depth review of the current USPS PostalOne! Mail.dat File Validator • Reviewed PostalOne! Help Desk document on common obstacles and error messages
Accomplishments • Submitted PostalOne! File Validator recommendations • Initial review of Validator - error message content recommendations submitted to USPS IT for second review and next action
Future Work • Small group to meet and compile list of PostalOne!-supporting vendor capabilities • Secondary review of PostalOne! file validator error messages with the full work group • Compilation of Final recommendations
