Creating a Self-Navigating Pacman Monster in Programming

This guide details how to construct a Pacman-inspired monster using programming concepts. The monster's script is designed to start with a flag click and is enclosed within a forever block, utilizing nested IF statements to respond to various events. One of the primary challenges is ensuring that the monster does not pass through walls. Unlike traditional Pacman, this monster must operate autonomously, "thinking for itself" in four dimensions. It senses its environment with dots on all sides, including numerous sensors on top resembling “hair.”

  2. The whole of monster’s script is: • Starts with a Flag Click • Enclosed in one big FOREVER block • Uses “nested” IF’s to respond to events • The biggest challenge to not go through the walls • Essentially, very similar to Packman, however, because the Monster is not led by a human hand, it needs to “think for itself” in all four dimensions

  3. Sensing with dots on all four sides, with many on the top, like “hair”

  4. See the next slide for the rest of the script
