FacingEquality • Do YouKnowshewas the first woman to travel around the world? • Shewasborn France in 1740 and shedied in 1807. • In 1766, Jeanne Baret sailed as assistant in the first French circumnavigation of the world. • There wasn't permitted the presence of women, so she needed to disguise as a man. They found her womanhood and she was forced to land in Mauritius Island. • She and her husband collected over 6000 samples of plant species of the places they visited. • Nació en Francia en 1740 y murió en 1807. • En 1766, Jeanne Baret navegó como asistente en la primera circunnavegación francesa al mundo. • No estaba permitida la presencia de mujeres, así que tuvo que disfrazarse de hombre.
