This project explores the urgent need for effective pollution control measures due to drastically exceeded pollution limits. Current solutions, like platinum catalytic converters, face significant limitations. We propose zeolite converters as a viable alternative, utilizing naturally occurring aluminosilicate minerals with micro porosity that facilitates gas diffusion. Additionally, activated alumina and charcoal enhance purification processes. Our findings highlight cost efficiency, compliance with Euro 5 standards, and a focus on developing zeolitic purifiers that meet future Euro 6 standards through synthetic zeolites.

Zeolite Converter • Zeolite: • Naturally occurring mineral. • It is Aluminosilicate having micro porosity of the order of 2-3 nm. • Loosely bounded metal ions in structure is available for other metal exchange. Fig: The shape of para-xylene means that it can diffuse freely in the channels of silicalite
2. Activated Alumina: • Highly porous and exhibit • high surface area. • Used in purification of gases. • 3. Activated Charcoal: • Surface Area. • Pretreatment. Fig: Activated Alumina
