VOICE • It’s a doing sentence comprising of verb. • It’s of two types : • ACTIVE VOICE • PASSIVE VOICE
ACTIVE VOICE • When the subject of the verb perform the action named in the verb. • Ex- The policeman caught the thief
PASSIVE VOICE • When the subject receives the action name in the verb. • Ex- The thief was caught by the policeman.
RULES TO CHANGE • The object in the active voice becomes the subject in the passive voice. • In the passive voice we use “BY” and “BEEN”. • In case if the profession or the indefinite object is given we don’t use “BY”. • Ex- ACTIVE- He will help you. PASSIVE-You will be helped by him.
