  1. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)Select Projects • HRSA/HIV/AIDS Bureau provides a core set of services to grantees under the Ryan White Program. Seventy-five percent of funds must be spent on Core Medical Services, which include mental health care and case management. Violence prevention services may be covered under these categories. • HRSA/HIV/AIDS Bureau is funding a new 5-year, Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) portfolio of 11 grants – 6 rural and 5 urban, plus 1 evaluation/technical assistance center under the Women of Color Initiative. The Initiative will improve access and retention for women of color living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. Each grantee is encouraged to consider opportunities to partner with their local community-based organizations who are members of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. • HRSA/HIV/AIDS Bureau is currently working on a CARE Action Newsletter focused on the intersection of violence and HIV/AIDS. • HRSA/Bureau of Primary Health Care funds 26 Federally Qualified Health Center grantees in 20 states that offer services through domestic violence shelters. Services are provided at 40 shelters. A majority of these grantees are funded under the Health Care for the Homeless Program. • HRSA Office of Women’s Health manages the Bright Futures for Women’s Health and Wellness Initiative (BFWHW) to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of evidence-based, culturally competent consumer, provider, and community materials increasing women’s awareness and use of preventive health services. The importance of safe and healthy relationships is a theme in the BFWHW Emotional Wellness family of tools. • A portal on the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC) webpage is available with links to web resources on domestic violence and oral health.  Seehttp://www.mchoralhealth.org/AZ.html, click on "D" and look for "Domestic violence and oral health. • Contact: Sabrina Matoff-Stepp, Ph.D., Director, HRSA Office of Women’s Health, smatoff-stepp@hrsa.gov
