The Harnett County Schools held an End of Year (EOY) meeting on April 3, 2009, to discuss technology counts from the 2007-08 school year. Key updates included the reduction to six technicians managing approximately 1023 computers each, major projects like Universal Imaging for PCs and Macs, and the consolidation of server systems. A total of 2,860 work orders were closed in the past year. The deadline for data entry is May 10, 2009, with check-out appointments scheduled for May 11-16. New sections in the AMTR process were also introduced, aimed at improving technology management.

Technical Services Update • We are now down to 6 technicians. • Roughly 1023 computers/technician. • Major projects this year: • Universal Imaging (PC’s) • Imaging (Macs) • Rebuilt 3 Mac servers • HarnettAdmin server consolidation • Security Measures • Deployment of 9 new labs, 5 laptop carts, and DMS initiative laptops • 2,860 workorders closed 8/1 – 4/1
AMTR 2009 • Use last year’s AMTR data to begin. • Subtract items that have gone to surplus. • Add items that were purchased during the year. • Compare your numbers with FAST.
2009 AMTR • Deadline for Data Entry: May 10, 2009. • Check-out appointments week of May 11-16. • New question in Section II (student response systems). • New page for Principal sign-off. (Should be completed prior to your check-out appointment.)
