  3. Doers of the Word • James 1:22 – “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” • Romans 2:13 – “for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified”

Doers of the Word • James 1:22-27 – “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only” • (26) “If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless” • (27) “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

  22. Conclusion – Doers of the Word • Ephesians 4:25-32 • As doers of the word, • We must be willing to lay aside • We must be willing to put on • Everything we lay aside & put on is to make us more Christ-like.
