  2. 1) This is a specialized search engine which will help geographers to download and see shapefiles from one stop. 2) We will be using Apache Lucene, Apache Tomcat, JSP, Adobe Flex for developing this project. 3) Its interface will be developed using adobe flex. 4) Apache Lucene for indexing and searching. Functionality:

  3. 5) It has a very heavy search engine and user interface requirement. 6) It requires a lot of dataset which has to be collected from different locations. 7) It also integrates some more geo search engine like arcgis.com and some government websites 8) One of the examples of this type of search Engine is geoss.esri.com but it lacks a lot in user interface and searching .
