  5. Let’s begin to learn Spanish Learning Spanish Can Help You With Other Languages • Many English words are derived from Latin origin. • By learning Spanish, difficult vocabulary words are easier to break down. • Learning Spanish can also lead to a future in French, Italian, Portugues, etc.

  6. Music • Music is frequently used in Spanish class. It helps develop listening skills, promotes proper speaking habits, and exposes you to different kinds of cultures.

Music • La Cueca - The national dance of Bolivia & Chile • Cumbia - The traditional dance from Colombia • Flamenco - The traditional Spanish fold dance which originated in Spain • Jarabe Tapaleo - The official Mexican Dance • Mambo - Originated in Cuba • Tango - Originated in Argentina • Merengue - The traditional dance of the Dominican Republic • Salsa - A mix of different spanish countries, such as Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic
