  1. Three types of lever

  2. LEVERs • A lever is any kind of rigid bar that sits on a pivot point or fulcrum and rotates about that point. It may be used to move a heavy object with a force that is smaller than the weight of the object. • A lever has three parts  • fulcrum or pivot point • load • effort (the force) effort fulcrum or pivot point load

  3. Three types of lever 1.First order of lever 2. Second order of lever 3.Third order of lever

  4. First order of levers fulcrum load effort In this type of lever, the fulcrum is in the middle between the load and the effort.

  5. First order of levers effort load fulcrum In this type of lever, the fulcrum is in the middle between the load and the effort.

  6. First order of levers load effort fulcrum The lever will balance if the load and effort are equal, and same distance from the fulcrum. Then the system is in equilibrium.

  7. First order of levers effort fulcrum load If load is greater than the effort Then the system is not in equilibrium

  8. First order of levers load fulcrum effort If effort is greater than the load Then the system is not in equilibrium

  9. First order of levers effort fulcrum load A seesaw is an example of a first class lever

  10. First order of levers Examples fulcrum weigh scales a claw hammer effort load effort Load scissors effort load fulcrum crowbar fulcrum

  11. First order of levers Examples

  12. SECOND order of levers effort load fulcrum In this type of lever, The load is between the effort and the fulcrum .

  13. SECOND order of levers effort fulcrum load In this type of lever, The load is between the effort and the fulcrum. The fulcrum is at one end of the lever.

  14. second order of levers Examples effort nutcracker load load load effort effort fulcrum effort fulcrum fulcrum wheelbarrow fulcrum load a person stands on tip-toe

  15. second order of levers Examples

  16. Third order of levers fulcrum effort load In this type of lever ,the effort between the fulcrum and the load.

  17. Third order of levers load fulcrum effort In this type of lever ,the effort between the fulcrum and the load.

  18. third order of levers Examples fulcrum Fishing rod Shovel effort load effort load fulcrum The effort is applied somewhere in between by a muscle attached above the fulcrum, on the upper arm. TWEEZERS fulcrum effort effort load fulcrum load
