  2. History of Taxation • In the Middle East, rulers collected the money from taxation to pay for the cost needed in building public artifacts like monuments and temples. Some of the money was used to finance warfare. Taxation originated there and was spread around the world. Taxation was only stopped during peaceful times. When another war came along, it was brought back again. Biblical accounts tell that people were expected to turn in 1/10 of their crops to the king to be spent on helping the poor people. .

  3. Agree or Disagree with taxation? • I disagree with taxation because when people pay for things they need they have to pay extra more then what it really cost .
