  8. Cardiorespiratory Endurance Fitness tests are Mile & pacer

  9. Muscle Strength Activities like pushups And weight lifting

  10. Muscle Strength Your muscles work at full force for a short number of times 4 – 8 repetitions

  11. Muscle Strength Fitness test is PUSH-UPS

  12. Muscle Endurance Your muscles work for a long period of time Fitness test to measure Is Situps

  13. Muscle Endurance Your muscles work for a long period of time 12 or more repetitions

  14. FLEXIBILITY Your joints move through a full range of motion

  15. FLEXIBILITY Kickboxing and gymnastics are examples

  20. AGILITY • You move in a variety of directions Basketball, Soccer and Football are examples.

  22. BALANCE Dynamic Static Dynamic is moving , like walking & texting at the same time Static is not moving, like the girl above on the beam

  23. REACTION TIME You hear a fire alarm – How quickly do you react? How quick your body reacts to a stimulus

  24. How Quickly You get from point a to b SPEED

  26. FITT PRINCIPLE F-FREQUENCY I-INTENSITY T-TIME T-TYPE

  27. FREQUENCY • The number of times you do an activity during the week • 5 -7 days per week

  28. INTENSITY • YOU MUST BE AT A LEVEL 3 TO 4

  29. INTENSITY LEVELS • 1 – Hangin’ out, standing around, computers, tv • 2 – walking at a slow pace, no sweating • 3 – Slow Jog, Really fast walk, arms moving • Can go at this pace all day, talk, might • break a little sweat • 4 - “The Mile” – a pace you can do for a while • Can’t keep the pace up for a long time, hard • to talk, will be sweating • 5 - All out sprint (length of football field)

  34. TEST ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH 6TH GRADE- YOUR TEST WILL BE ON THE 5 HEALTH COMPONENTS AND THE FITT PRINCIPLE ONLY

  35. Test will be on . Friday Oct. 4th 7TH GRADE- YOUR TEST WILL BE ON THE 5 HEALTH COMPONENTS / THE SKILL COMPONENTS AND THE FITT PRINCIPLE
