Strategies for Defending Against Opponent's Throw-Ins in Soccer

This guide outlines effective defensive strategies for managing throw-ins from the opposition. Teams will face four main options: down the line, into forwards, square to midfielders, and back to defenders. Our principles include doubling up on wide throw-ins, screening the ball into strikers, applying high pressure on midfielders receiving square balls, and keeping the opposition confined to one side if the throw is back. Key reminders include switching on early, recognizing options, and maintaining pressure to disrupt their play.
