  2. What are germs? Germ  [ jurm ]    microorganism: a microorganism, especially one that can cause disease or sickness cell: the smallest element in an organism such as a spore or a fertilized egg that is capable of growing into a complete adult

  3. How can we prevent them? Wash your hands thoroughly with soap Cover mouth when you cough. Never in your hand. Possibly in handkerchief or in shirt Avoid physical contact when sick (shaking hands, touching, etc.) or even just stay home Drink lots of Vitamin C (orange Juice)

  4. What is the proper way of coughing and sneezing? • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. • If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands. • Put your used tissue in the waste basket.

  5. Why is washing hands important and the proper technique? • The most important advantage is that you prevent yourself from getting infected by a number of dangerous ailments. • People who are careless about washing their hands are at a higher risk of catching a cold or a flu. • Technique on next slide
