  2. What is Google? • Google is a 16 years American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and product.1 • Google was found on September 4, 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were still attending Stanford University.2 3 4

Why Google?1 • BackRub was Google’s original name. • The name came to be as a “play on the word ‘googol,’ a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros. • It reflects Larry and Sergey’s mission to organize a seemingly infinite amount of information on the web.

  5. GooglePlex • Google’s first office was in Susan Wojcicki’s garage. • Google went from a garage to a nice headquarter called GooglePlex. 6 5

  6. Google’s Simplicity • Google was not the first search engine to exist, but it is now the number 1 search engine worldwide. • Because of Google’s simplicity, they are able to stand out from the rest of its competitors such as Yahoo!, Bing, and Ask.com. 7
