  4. 實例一:文化、情緒、與認知Mesquita and Karasawa’s (2002) research • 研究問題:不同文化背景(independence vs. interdependence)如何影響情緒之建構? • 研究對象:日本與美國的大學生。 • 研究方法:透過經驗取樣法,大學生每天每隔三小時紀錄一次情緒經驗,並評估該情緒經驗與哪些認知向度有關,為期一週。 • 研究結果:日本與美國大學生建構情緒經驗的方式不同。例如,與美國大學生相比,日本大學生之愉悅情緒與social engagement有較強的正向關係,與loss of face與 immoral behavior of another person則有較強的負向關係。 • 結論:在亞洲文化中,情緒是社會關係的一部分,它是以關係做基礎,而非以個人內在感受做基礎。這是與西方文化較不同的地方。 Mesquita, B., & Karasawa, M.
