Who Conducts Research in Canada? Figures for 2005 show the gen distribution: out of a total $26,268M: • Business enterprises: 52.7% ($13,843M) • Universities and colleges: 37.5% ($9,850M) • Governments (federal & provincial): 37.5% ($2,495M) • Private non-profit organizations: 0.3% ($79M)
