Quick steps to create a photo show • Open Microsoft PowerPoint • Click on “Insert” memu tab (upper-left corner) • Click on “Photo Album”, choose “New Photo Album” • Click on ”File/Disk”, then browse to the directory that contains the photos or pictures, press click while holding down “Ctrl” key to do multiple selection, then click “Insert” button • Click on “Create” button on the lower-right corner. • It will create a new PowerPoint slide show • Go back to slide-1 to edit the Title slide • Insert comments/text in each slide if needed. • Insert background music if needed. (see next slide)

How to insert background music • Open your existing PowerPoint file • Click on “Insert” memu tab (upper-left corner) • Click on “Sound”, choose “Sound From File…”, browse to your music mp3 file, then click “OK” • choose how would you like the music started (auto or clicked) Here’s a sample music file inserted, violin for “my motherland” Chinese folk song

How to insert movie clip • Open your existing PowerPoint file • Click on “Insert” memu tab (upper-left corner) • Click on “Movie”, choose “Movie From File…”, browse to your video file, then click “OK” • choose how would you like the music started (auto or clicked) • Notice that video files are usually large in size, it will make your powerpoint slide even bigger.
