  6. Scholastics • Pop Warner Little Scholars • Must maintain 2.0 GPA • We love to hear about academic successes of your child • Potential Scholarship

  7. Game Schedule • Has not been released by the league yet • Should be Jamboree, 7 Games, possible post season • Majority of the Games are going to be at the Apalachee Regional Sports Park, on Saturdays • Local Cheer Competition, planned for October • Regional Playoffs/Regional Cheer Competition, November

What to Expect Game day • Showtime is usually an hour before game (coach will inform you of exact expectations) • Kids will be checked by the field administrator: • Verify Identity of child • Weight for football • Warm-up • Game time • Game will not start if we do not have volunteers to hold yardage markers and count plays • Mandatory Play Requirements • Post Game Snack • Medical staff and Security are present at the field • Snack Bar

  9. Safety • Player Safety is Critical • Hydration, Hydration, Hydration • Healthy meals • Heads up training • Medical clearance to return, if injured • Weather • We will practice in rain, but not in lightning conditions. • Report an unsafe conditions

  10. Behavior • Volunteer Organization • Referees, coaches, players, and parents all must conduct themselves with an appropriate behavior • Zero Tolerance for violence, threats, & inappropriate behavior • Golden Rule – Treat everyone with a mutual level of respect • If you have an issue, please address the person directly, talk to the coach, your commissioner, and board members (preferably, in that order)

  11. Football • Necessary equipment for practice: • Cleats • Practice Jersey/Practice Pants (integrated pads) • Mouth Guard • Water Bottle (we will have H2O jugs to fill/refill bottles) • Towel

  12. Football • Weight Management • No exceptions • When weighed in full gear, extra weight (7 or 8 lbs) is added to max • Each week the max weight is increased by 1lb

  13. Football Issues • Please use chain of command to address any football issues • Head Coach (First) • Football Commissioner • Board Member

Cheerleading • Necessary attire/items for practice: • Comfortable, fitted shirt with sports bra underneath if shirt cannot be tucked in • Shorts (NO denim/jean) • pants okay when cold so long as they are work out style • Tennis shoes- cheer shoes preferred • No jewelry allowed • Water Bottle • Towel

Cheerleading • Competitions • October 19th • Time/location TBD • All teams and all cheerleaders participate • Placement determines eligibility for regionals • Pop Warner Southeast Regionals • Orlando, Thanksgiving weekend • Plan on entering all cheer teams eligible to participate • Regionals contract
