  2. Concept • The concept of this space is to provide a “brand” look that creates a functional, inviting and welcoming atmosphere for students. Having similar furniture in all study areas along with signage will allow students and faculty to acknowledge the function of each space. The sense of ownership and functionality will be created through the use of moveable furniture to allow students to arrange to their own needs, while still providing room for growth, and space change. Earthy tones in combination with natural light within the area will produce an inviting and welcoming environment for all who enter.

  3. Problems: • No clear pathway through space • Noise Level • Unrecognizable, as a space for students • Unclear of intended function in space

  4. Solutions: • Signage to “brand” space (U Study)/ welcome students • Carpet tiles used to clearly mark pathways • Enclose spaces to help with noise levels • Moveable furniture • Able to study in your own way • Able to rearrange to accommodate for single or multiple groups
