  2. What is Distributed Energy? • Distributed energy resources are small-scale power generation technologies located close to where electricity is used (e.g., a home or business) to provide an alternative to or an enhancement of the traditional electric power system.

  3. What is Waste to Energy? • Waste to Energy Power Plants create energy from incinerating waste source (typically from landfills). It is a form of energy recovery. • WTE Power Plants provide the additional benefit of reducing biomethane gas levels produced by landfills.
