  3. Examples of Native American Myths • “The Earth on Turtle’s Back” (Onondaga tribe) • “When Grizzlies Walked Upright” (Modoc tribe) • “The Navajo Origin Legend” (Navajo tribe)

  4. Homework • After reading the three Native American myths, respond to questions 3, 4, 5, and 6 on page 29. Respond on looseleaf or word-process 5-7 sentences each to form a unified, coherent paragraph with an effective topic sentence.
