Why would Heather make a series about a teenage vampire? Heather says, “He is just a regular boy.” She also wanted to right about a teenage vampire because she wanted to show that not all vampires, are gorgeous and wealthy. Vladimir is a normal boy, not wealthy, he doesn’t have groups of girls chasing him or anything. She also states, “I have always been into the undead.”
Which book in the, Chronicles Of Vladimir Tod series is your favorite? Heather says, “ 10 grade bites because it has most of the blood, action and romance.” Vlad goes through a lot of struggles and finds his dad, and there is plenty of drama.
How was your teen hood? Bullied Out casted She only had about 3 friends like Vlad. They didn’t like how she was so into black and she was very quiet.
Why do you write? Heather writes because she can easily relate to what she writes. And since her stories mostly involve a teen with problems at school and home, she can use her own life as an example to help her write.
Where do you get your inspiration from? She gets her inspiration from her own experience and her fans. She also gets it from past rough drafts she’s made. She loves to just fix and add on to her rough drafts.
What is the hardest part of writing? Coming up with the ideas and continuing on from them. She gets writers block often. Also, she hates when she doesn’t have time to respond to her fans.
What is most rewarding about being an author? Having so many fans. Knowing people are HUGE fans of your books. And how fans can relate to her.
