  1. Pambazos By Brandon M.

  2. Recipe • 8 guajillo chiles • 2 garlic cloves • ½ medium yellow onion • 2 medium potatoes • 6 ounces of Mexican chorizo, Casings removed • Salt • 4 (4-inchs long) Bread from inside removed • Canola oil, For frying as needed • 1 cup of thinly sliced red cabbage • 2 table spoons cider vinergar

  3. Directions • Make a lengthwise cut on 1 side of the guajilo chiles and remove seeds. put chiles in a bowl and cover with boiling water, letting soak for 20 minuets or until soft. Place chiles and some of the soaking water in a blender, puree with garlic and onion, strian and set aside. Cook the potatoes whole with skin on in salted water for about 25 minuets or until they feel soft. 4. How are they made? • The pambazos taste salty and savory taste. My aunt makes pambazos and she goes to the (panaderia) and she buys the bread. Then she goes to Food Lion and the Food Lion is a grocery shop. She buys the lettuce and chiles to make the sauce. When she finishes getting chiles, lettuce and cheese she goes to where my dad works and gets the chorizo (sausage). She cuts the sausage into pieces. Then she gets a pan and turns on the stove while she waits for the pan to get hot then she puts oil and the sasuage in the pan and stirs it up. The panaderia is where you can get bread, candy, drinks, and chips like Takis.Takis are my favorite tortillas chips. They are made by rolling up the tortilla and then frying them until they get hard. Then they put this speacial kind of chile on the takis. So the panaderia is where you get the bread for the pambazos, and you can get takis there too.

  5. Who is Karla Doña • The first person who made pambazos is named Karla Doña. Karla Doña is from Mexico. She is the first person to create this

  6. Who helps my aunt • My aunt is the person who makes very good food and uses her own recipe to make pambazos. She has an assistant who helps her and his name is Brian, but they call him Tony. He is 18 years old. Tony is her son and he's in high school (11th grade). His high school is called Carrboro High School.
